黑料社 team taking on 黑料社 half-marathon

A team of 黑料社 academics and students are set to take on the 黑料社 half-marathon to raise money for Age UK 黑料社.

As part of the 黑料社 Healthy Ageing Research Partnership (SHARP) initiative at the 黑料社, the team have been training hard, whilst also continuing their pivotal work in improving the wellbeing of older adults through their research.

Dr Natalie Riddell, a Senior Lecturer in Immunology and Ageing, said:

鈥淭aking on this challenge has been an enormous undertaking, and I am so proud of how far we have all come with our training.

鈥淎ge UK 黑料社 is a fantastic charity, and we are delighted to be supporting them. We all get older, and it is important that us as researchers and charities like Age UK work together to ensure that we all age well.鈥

SHARP, which is in its ninth year, is an important outreach hub at the university and regularly runs activities to increase connection between researchers and older members of the community. Discussions focus on issues of healthy living in older age which help to shape the direction of research at the institution.
