My research project
Deep shape and reflectance modelling for high-fidelity digital clone creationThis project will research methods for building high-fidelity digital copies of complex scenes including but not limited to people. Recent approaches such as Neural Radiance Fields have achieved an impressive degree of realism, but the produced volumetric representation and the required high compute power make the resulting models difficult to use within established production tools. This research will explore new methods and representations to model shape and reflectance that can be used within production tools for novel view synthesis, relighting and character animation. The research will be evaluated on real production scenarios explored as part of the AI4ME project.
