My research project
Managing cognitive symptoms of long COVID-19: individual and relatives’ experiencesI am interested in the psychosocial impact of the cognitive consequences of Long COVID on both individuals and their relatives. The project will be split into two studies; Study 1 will explore the psychosocial impact on individuals with cognitive consequences of Long COVID and Study 2 will explore the psychosocial impact on relatives. Both; in the first stage of the study, participants will complete an online survey consisting of one open-ended question asking about their experience. In the second stage of recruitment, a purposive sample of participants who consent to be contacted will be invited for interview, which will be semi-structured. The survey data will be analysed using a reflexive Thematic Analysis approach and the interview data will be transcribed and analysed using an Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis approach. The findings will be written up into two empirical papers
