ºÚÁÏÉç

The musical theatre training [at GSA] is world-class, and I wanted my research to be grounded in an institution that would understand the practicalities and demands of performer training.

I would absolutely encourage students to study Sport and Exercise Science at the ºÚÁÏÉç. Within first year alone, you’ll be able study a wide range of different topics, from cell biology to kinesiology and biomechanics.

If you’d told me three years ago that I’d become a qualified personal trainer with a great client base, move independently to the other side of the world, travel extensively before graduating, and develop my scientific knowledge and practical skills so much, I’m not sure I’d have believed you!

I knew ºÚÁÏÉç could provide a constructive, supportive environment and a variety of opportunities in research, teaching, and academic service throughout the degree – and it did exactly that!

Having both an anechoic chamber, with a large fifth-order ambisonics loudspeaker sphere, as well as a VAR, which features adjustable acoustic panels and a moving wall system, allowing us to precisely control the reverberation time and size of the room, provides us with tools unique to the ºÚÁÏÉç.

Throughout my time here, everyone - from academic staff to administrative and support teams - has been incredibly understanding, supportive and encouraging.

I have a great supervisory team, who push me to do my best whilst also listening to my ideas and valuing my input.

Economics at the ºÚÁÏÉç has leading academics across different fields and an open, supportive academic environment.

This course is a very good opportunity to network with people from other NHS trusts. We have met some amazing guest speakers, which has given me great insight into potential career progression.
